Saturday, October 31 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 1 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Monday, November 2 from 8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Open to suburban Cook County residents.

Voter Registration is also available during those hours.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3 polls are open 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Vote at your assigned polling place.
The library will be the location for Thornton Township Precints 18 & 68 only.

Attention voters:

We have 20 socially distanced spaces to wait inside the building. Additional voters will wait outside.

If it is a long wait, we encourage you to return another time or another early voting day.

If you have issues with waiting a long time in line, you may want to try another day.  We can make no guarantees.  Voting is first come, first served.

Changes to Holds Pickup!

Effective 8/12/20

We will be placing your holds on the hold shelf instead of the brown bags. 

1. Watch for your preferred notification method email/text/phone that you have holds to pickup.
Automated notifications start at 2:00 p.m.

You may also check your account at any time in the SWAN Mobile App, or the online catalog to see if you have holds awaiting pickup.

2. Locate your items on the hold shelf by the last 4 letters of your last name. Common last name? Also match the last 4 numbers of your library card shown on the label.

3. You will need to check out your items on the self-checkout machine.
Staff is available to help you.

The Book Drop is OPEN!

Returned Materials are Being Quarantined

Procedural change:
We are now checking in book drop items before quarantining them to get them off your account faster.

Items retrieved from the Library's book drop are being taken directly to a quarantine area for at least 72 hours after being checked in. 

You can still monitor your account online or in the SWAN Libraries App.
