Gina Shaw has worked in Children's Book Publishing -- Trade, Educational, Mass Market, and Licensed -- for more than forty years. She writes and edits fiction, nonfiction, and licensed picture books, easy readers, early chapter books, and middle-grade novels.

Gina also likes to make school, bookstore, and library visits and enjoys critiquing and editing manuscripts for new as well as seasoned authors.

Her latest book, Curious About Orangutans, for Penguin Young Readers / Smithsonian Institution, was released on October 9, 2017.

Sheryl McFarlane gave up sunny Arizona for love and the wild weather of the West Coast more than 30 years ago. She is the author of fourteen books for kids and teens, including the multi-award winning Waiting for the Whales and Jessie's Island.
