Alexandrea J. Ravenelle is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on the lived experience of gig economy workers for Uber, Airbnb, TaskRabbit, and Kitchensurfing and the socioeconomic implications of this new economic movement.
