Therapy
By Anne-marie,
Anne-Marie's second studio album, Therapy, is the official follow-up to her multi-platinum and four million-selling 2018 debut, Speak Your Mind [the UK's biggest-selling debut release of that year]. An artist whose everywoman candour and knock-you-down vocal range has reverberated across the globe, Therapy is a collection of songs that embody A-M's characterful artistry, self-effacing attitude and beautiful honesty; attributes that have not only catapulted Essex-born Anne-Marie to platinum status in the UK to the USA and everywhere in-between, but ones that have seen her reign supreme a fearless Gen Z role model.

The Mars Volta
By Volta, The Mars
EDITORIAL REVIEWS
Breaking a decade of omertà, The Mars Volta reawaken from their lengthy hiatus with an eponymous track that radically reshapes their paradigm. Formed by guitarist/composer Omar Rodríguez-López and singer/lyricist Cedric Bixler-Zavala, The Mars Volta rose from the ashes of El Paso punk-rock firebrands At The Drive-In in 2001. On a mission to "honour our roots and honour our dead", The Mars Volta made music that fused the Latin sounds Rodríguez-López was raised on with the punk and underground noise he and Bixler-Zavala had immersed themselves in for years, and the futuristic visions they were tapping into. The albums that followed were one-of-a-kind masterpieces, their songs of breath-taking complexity also possessing powerful emotional immediacy.

Waitress
By Waitress,
Based on Adrienne Shelly's 2007 indie film of the same name, Waitress is a stage musical about a Southern waitress stuck in an unhappy marriage. A comedy-drama with a book written by Shelly, it began previews on Broadway in March 2016, with its official opening in April. The show's composer and lyricist, Sara Bareilles, recorded her own versions of songs from the show for What's Inside: Songs from Waitress, released in November 2015. This original Broadway cast recording was recorded after the Broadway debut and released in June 2016. Produced by Bareilles and Neal Avron, the album stars Jessie Mueller, who workshopped Waitress fresh off her Tony win for Best Lead Actress in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Other cast members include Drew Gehling, Kimiko Glenn, and Keala Settle, who solos on "I Didn't Plan It. " With some lively and many wistful in tone, the elegant song set should appeal to admirers of Bareilles' adult alternative pop, while her way with a tune will charm many a theater fan. Highlights include the brief "Club Knocked Up, " which takes on the harmony vocal stylings of the Chordettes, and the piano ballad "She Used to Be Mine. "

Summertime: Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin hearkens back to Stardust, the 1978 blockbuster album of pop standards that secured Willie's reputation as pop balladeer (in addition to his status as one of the architects of outlaw country music) .
