Pozia era una joven princesa perfecta en casi todo, pero tenia una nariz horrible que le hacia sentirse triste y desdichada, una nariz tan grande que, al mirarla, nadie se fijaba en nada mas. / Once upon a time there lived a young girl who everyone agreed was nearly a perfect princess, but..it was impossible to ignore her nose. It protruded from the center of her face like some weather-beaten crag off the side of a cliff.

Capitalism and Its Criticisms
By Chiapello, Eve
The history of capitalism cannot be separated from history of its criticisms. Transformation of the economic system has always partly arisen through recuperation of critical ideas, often in a time of crisis when the search for alternatives intensifies because the usual remedies are no longer working. The current unprecedented crisis of capitalism, at once social, ecological, moral, economic and financial triggers an increasing number of initiatives trying to diagnose the ills afflicting us and making change proposals. Capitalism seems thus to be embarking on a new cycle of recuperation, during which a criticism will be assimilated. This chapter suggests that a new form of criticism - ecological criticism - which was very much present in the 1970s unrest, but not to a point where it could reorient capitalism, has now become a central element in the recuperation and restructuring of capitalism.

A Charmed Life / Una vida con suerte
By Barbieri, Gladys
Felicia always feels very small when she and her mom walk by the huge homes and beautiful gardens to the house where her mother works as a cleaning lady. "I need you to behave," her mother says, reminding her of all the things she should and shouldn't do. But Felicia gets bored, and in spite of her mother's warnings, begins to explore. She finds a bedroom full of toys. How she wished that her house looked like this! From a window she sees an inviting swing set in the back yard, and soon she's breaking all of her mother's rules. When Mrs. Fitzpatrick comes outside, Felicia can't help but wonder if the woman knows she was roaming through the house. To her surprise, the red-headed woman offers her lemonade and cookies instead of a scolding. Soon the two realize that even though they live in different worlds they have something in common.
