COMPUTER CLASSES AT RCLS

We are happy to report that Trey Gwinn has accepted the newly created Technology and Outreach Coordinator position with RCLS. Trey has worked at Linebaugh as a Library Associate since March of this year. He has ten-plus years of experience writing training modules, training and supervising staff and volunteers, and creating digital content for public users while working at The Hermitage. Trey begins his new position on October 1st and though primarily be working out of the Technology Engagement Center (TEC), he will also be coordinating classes and training for our patrons at all branches throughout the system. We look forward to having him lead RCLS to a new level of partnership with our community and in coordinating our IT offerings to the public through this position.

If you would like to volunteer to teach a course at any of our branches, you can contact Trey at tgwinn@rclstn.org. Check out all our upcoming class offerings by visiting rclstn.org/calendar. You can filter by computer classes to find details for availability.

The Linebaugh (Main Branch) Library continues to work torward their remapping of collecations and upgrades. The October 8th closure will be a work day for staff, as they move the adult fiction and large print collections to the 2nd floor, allowing the first floor area to be designated for all children and teen materials and programming. Linebaugh Branch Librarian, Carol Ghattas hopes to have everything completed by December and host an open house for the community.
