Rutherford County Library System Continues Phase Two

All libraries of the Rutherford County Library System will continue running with reduced hours and special safety precautions through July, due to the continued health risks involved from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first hour of the business day at most branches will be dedicated to Seniors, age sixty-five and above. Contact your local branch for specifics.

Linebaugh (Main Branch): 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Linebaugh will be closed on Sunday during Phase Two.

Smyrna Public Library: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

MGL in Patterson Park: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Eagleville Bicentennial Public Library: 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturdays.

Technology Engagement Center (TEC): 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, (Closed Sundays during Phase Two)

There will be no public events in July, while some meeting rooms may be available with capacity limitations. 

 

 

 

RCLS Bookmobile:

Through July the Bookmobile will continue to serve as a free Wi-Fi hotspot and mobile branch throughout the county.

           

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summer Reading Program Continues through July 31

Signups for all locations are online, though you can visit or call your local branch to have a library associate help with sign up as well. Click on this link to sign up for the program https://www.rclstn.org/events/summer-reading-program-2020.

Each branch has special activities for children in the form of take-home packets, online storytimes and events. Call or visit your local branch to get a calendar of activities.

Linebaugh and Smyrna branch libraries will also be serving as Summer Feeding locations. All lunches will be "to-go" this year, as no eating will be allowed in the library facilities.

  • Linebaugh from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
  • Smyrna from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
