IT'S COZY UP WITH A GOOD BOOK SEASON

Visit the Duluth Public Library to stock up on books to read this winter! 

To ensure that all patrons feels safe and welcome... 

  • Masks are required at the library, and free masks are always available.
  • Patrons can check out books and materials without setting foot in the library via our WALK-UP WINDOW. Our WALK-UP WINDOW is available anytime the Main Library is open.
  • We have an extensive collection of ebooks and audiobooks that patrons can can borrow from home. See instructions below to start borrowing ebooks and audiobooks, or give us a call at (218) 730-4200. It's easy!   

 

THE LIBRARY'S WINTER READING PROGRAM RUNS FROM DECEMBER 1st THRU FEBRUARY 28th

Would you like to motivate yourself or a family member to read more this winter? Sign up for our Winter Reading Program! We have programs for all ages: BIRTH to PREK, CHILDREN, TEENS and ADULTS.

 

 

All kids who read 10 hours (or more) will win a free book of their choice! Adults are invited to take the library's 50-hour Winter Reading Program challenge. In addition, participants can increase their chance of winning one of our grand prizes by logging reading hours, writing book reviews or completing activities.

 

 

THE DULUTH PUBLIC LIBRARY'S NEW TOTE BAGS ARE BIGGER AND BETTER

The library has new tote bags available in exchange for a $5 donation to Friends of the Duluth Public Library. Our new tote bags are larger than our previous tote bags and perfect for carrying groceries, books and more. Stop by one of our three library locations to pick one up.

Our MT. ROYAL BOOK CLUB meets online on the first Wednesday of each month. To join, contact Emily Blomberg at eblomberg@duluthmn.gov for the Zoom link.

Our WEST DULUTH BOOK CLUB meets in person. Our next meeting is December 20th from 3:00-4:00pm at our West Duluth Branch. Drop in or contact Jodi Johnson at jjohnson@duluthmn.gov for further information.

Our STAR WARS ESCAPE ROOM is fun for all ages: preK through seniors. We set up the escape room based on the ages of those participating. No prior knowledge of Star Wars is required to play, but true fans will appreciate the many Star Wars references. 

When you register, be sure to note the ages of those in your group so we can create the best experience for you. If you would like to play with only those in your group, email Heidi at hharrison@duluthmn.gov and we will close your time slot.
