Read with the library this summer! Count the number of books you read and complete activities to earn badges and prizes. The top 3 prizes this year include: The Grill Guru, a grilling cookbook, grill accessories, and prep and serve trays; The Book Maker, a bookbinding kit, playing cards featuring famous authors, and a bookshop puzzle; and The Personal Librarian, a personal library kit, Actually Curious Happy Hour cards, and a library puzzle. Whole Body Wellness: Fresh Air Friday |

Join Susie Melott, of Yoga Is Served in West Allis, for 45 minutes of breath work, meditation and mindful movement outdoors! We’ll meet on the grass between the library parking lot and Library Square. Please bring your own yoga mat or a beach towel. Registration is recommended; walk-ups welcome. Children’s Summer Reading Program |
Now-Sept. 3
Kids going into 6th grade or younger can log books or minutes read this summer. Earn coupon prize pack 1 after reading (or being read to) 10 books or 200 minutes. Coupon prize pack 2 is earned after reading an additional 10 books or 200 minutes. For every 10 books or 200 minutes read after that, children receive a raffle ticket, up to 20 raffle tickets. Each child who reads 100 books or 2,000 minutes by Sept. 3 receives a free book. Go to westallislibrary.beanstack.org or visit the Children’s Department to register. |

Staying Safe at the Library |
The library hours have changed for summer! We are open Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm and Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm. We are closed Sundays. Limited onsite services are available, including browsing and checkout, copier and fax services, and reference services. Masks are required. A limited number of public computers are available. Computer time is limited to one hour per day. Study rooms are not accessible. Curbside service is still available. For the most up-to-date information, visit our website. |
