THE BIG READ is an Asotin County Library challenge inspired by the National 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. Asotin County Community Services coordinates Birth to Three Therapeutic Services for families with young children who are experiencing developmental delays or disabilities. ACCS staff will be available at THE BIG READ Event to assist with scheduling free developmental screenings for infants and toddlers.

Join a free workshop to build your skills and confidence using technology. Learn tips from a knowledgeable instructor, practice what you learn, and ask questions.

 

  • 1:00pm on Wed., Oct. 11 at Veterans Outreach Center, 829 15th St, Clarkston
  • 10:00am on Thurs., Oct. 12 at Valley Community & Senior Center, 549 5th St, Clarkston
  • 5:30pm on Mon., Oct. 16 at Asotin County Library, 417 Sycamore St, Clarkston

Coffee & donuts will be served at each workshop. Participants will earn a certificate of completion and be entered in a drawing for BOSE wireless headphones! Registration is not required. Please contact Erin Kolb at 509-758-5454 or email with questions.

Prime Time Family Reading (kids & family)

Thursdays at 5:30pm Oct. 12 - Nov. 16
Free six week program for children ages 6 to 10 and their families. Evening includes dinner, storytelling, reading and discussion.
Free childcare and activities provided kids age 3 to 5. Program is supported by a grant from Humanities Washington. 

Ukulele Jam! (adults and teens)
Tuesdays at 3:00pm | Downtown Library | Community Room
Anyone, especially beginners, can join for a short tutorial and practice. Bring your own ukulele and music stand. If needed, the Library has one ukulele and music stand for your practice. Program for those 13+ years old. 

Appy Hour: Banking Apps  (adults)

Digital Navigators

Our Digital Navigators, Georgia Jordan and Asher McCoy, are library staff who can help you with computer, internet, and technology skills. They can also help you find low-cost broadband (high-speed internet) and devices with local internet service providers and assist with applying for the Affordable Connectivity Program.
