Good afternoon,

December is here, right on the heels of a late Thanksgiving! This month around the county, we have planned events where you can make a gift or wrap one, learn some holiday cooking tricks, or just relax and enjoy the season. We even have a special holiday de-stressing yoga class at our Paxton Branch.

While they're not listed in this newsletter, there are many activities for kids too. Santa will be making the rounds in the next few weeks, starting with visits to Mt Logan and Richmond Dale on Monday December 2nd, and wrapping up with a visit to Northside Branch on Tuesday December 17th.

All of our events are free, though some require registration.

If you haven't tried it yet, this is also a great time to download our library app. It's called SEO Libraries App, and is available for Android and iOS (Apple). The app lets you keep track of your check-outs and holds, download eBooks, view the event calendar and more.

As always, if you have suggestions for library events, I would love to hear them. See you at the library!

Book Signing and Artist Reception - Lynn Carden

Northside Branch Library, Monday December 9, 2019 6:30-7:30pm

Lynn Carden is a local artist and author, and she will be joining us for a reception and book signing. Her recently-published book, The Women of Robertson Place, is the history of a house in Bournville that has been in her family for several generations. The book features her drawings of artifacts that have accumulated in the house over time, which give glimpses into history. Her art exhibit will be displayed at Northside Branch through December 27th as well.
