Here we are in the dog days of summer,

This time of year, Sirius (the dog star) rises and sets around the same time as the sun. It's been known since ancient times as the dog days, and has been associated with hot, humid weather. (For Harry Potter fans, yes, Sirius is actually known as the dog star!)

Thank you to everyone who participated in Bookworm this summer! We had more adult participants than ever before. If you have feedback for next year, we would love to hear it.

After Bookworm wraps up, and before school starts, there is the Ross County Fair. You can visit the library booth at the Fair all this week! I hope to see you there.
