Happy December,

Visit our libraries this month for a variety of events. We'll help you; make a personalized card for someone special, wrap up your packages, savor something sweet, express your creativity in paint, and much more.

While you're here, check out a copy of one of Michael Zadoorian's books. The author will be visiting January 24th, 2019 at 6pm to talk about his books. In January we will also have book club discussions of two of Michael Zadoorian's books, Beautiful Music, and The Leisure Seeker, as well as a screening of the movie adaptation of The Leisure Seeker.

This newsletter covers adult events, but be sure to check out our events calendars online or at your favorite library location for details about programs for children and teens. (A certain jolly old elf will be visiting our libraries this month!)

Featured Event: Author Visit: Neal Parks

Northside Branch

Tuesday December 18, 6-8pm

Local author Neal Parks will read excerpts from the timeless classic, A Christmas Carol, and his award winning book, Haunted Holidays. He will speak about places he's investigated for stories and share some real pictures of ghosts. Neal will also be signing copies of his books.

About Neal Parks: Award Winning Author, Artist, Paranormal Researcher, Investigator, Public Speaker and founder of Parks Paranormal Research and Investigation. With over twenty five years of first hand experience.

Wheatberry Books (41 S Paint St) will have copies of Neal Parks' books available before the event, and will also sell copies on site during the event.

This month at Main Library

Knit and Crochet together: Friday December 14, 10am (Reference Area - Second Floor)

Come knit or crochet with us. Feel Free to bring whatever project you're working on! We'll have some yarn and patterns on hand in case you need inspiration. As always, beginners are welcome. Please register if you would like to receive an e-mail reminder.

Adult Make-A-Gift: Felt ornaments: Friday December 14, 2pm (Reference Area - Second Floor)

Relax and enjoy a fun holiday craft to keep or to give away. We'll be making felt ornaments. All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary. Registration required.

This month at Northside Branch

Adult Make-a-Gift: Cards: December 5, 6pm (Myers Meeting Room)

Come learn how to put a personal touch into your cards and letters. All materials will be provided to make a sample card. Registration Required.

Holiday Paint Night: Thursday December 20, 6pm (Myers Meeting Room)

Take an evening to relax and paint amid the holiday rush. Beginners welcome, and all materials provided! Registration Required.

Gentle Yoga: Mondays at 9am at the Main Library Annex The library is closed on December 24th, and there will be no yoga that week.
E vening Yoga: Monday December 3 and Thursday December 6, 6pm at Northside Branch Bryan Ramsey will lead two free yoga classes in the evening at Northside Branch next week. Please watch the online calendar, as he may add additional classes if these go well.
Chillicothe Babywearing: Friday December 7, 11am-1pm in Main Library Annex Rm D
