Good afternoon,

Welcome to September, National Library Card Sign-Up Month. If we haven't seen you in a while, stop by to make sure your library card is up-to-date!

September marks the transition from summer to fall. At the library, that means you'll find the last of our summer cooking series (pickles), a fall Paint Night, and a zombie-themed escape room. Speaking of zombies, our second annual Library After Dark event is coming up next month, so save the date. (Friday October 26 at 7pm.)

Have you voted for your favorite book in The Great American Read? PBS is celebrating reading with this fall series. You can still vote for your favorite book from their list of the top 100 this month.

Also this month is Banned Books Week (September 23-29). Check out a banned book, and celebrate your freedom to read.

As always, if you have any suggestions for future events, I'm happy to hear them.

See you at the library!
