Good afternoon,

Wow! welcome to July. We're more than half-way through the year, and more than half-way through Bookworm! There is still plenty of time to submit your Book Reviews and log your BINGOs though. If you haven't signed up, we can help you do so next time you're in.

This month we're looking forward to making ice cream in a bag, and salad dressing with herbs from our library garden. We'll also welcome the cast and crew of Tecumseh for our annual Sack it With Shakespeare event. And if you'd like to brush up on your computer skills, be sure to check out our Intro to Computers class, starting next week. And around the county, we have book clubs, nutrition classes, paint nights, and yoga. Join us Thursday July 26 at 5:30 in Yoctangee Park for our Bookworm Finale party.

Featured Event: Sack It With Shakespeare Ice Cream In A Bag

Northside Branch Shelterhouse

Saturday July 28, 11am-1pm

Please join the cast & crew of Tecumseh as they have lunch and talk about the free production, Much Ado About Nothing, which will take place the following evening at the Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheatre. Free hot dogs provided by the Haute Doggerie, or bring your own lunch! This casual, family-friendly event has become a yearly favorite.

Garden Check! Thursday July 19 and Monday July 30, 6pm (Courtyard)

Come see what's happening in the garden. Help water and take care of the plants, and learn about gardening. Garden helpers will share the veggies we grow!

Learn to Make Salad Dressing Monday July 23, 6pm (Meeting Room)

Learn to make simple and delicious salad dressing with herbs from our garden. All materials will be provided, and those who register will be able to take home the dressing they make!

Intro to Computers Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 10-31 at 6pm (Meeting Room 2)

Intimidated by computers? Don't be! If you are new to computers, or simply need a refresher, this class is for you. Each class builds on previous material, so please register for the class as a whole, and try to attend every session.

Ice Cream in a Bag. Monday July 16, 6pm (Shelterhouse)

No ice cream maker? No problem! We'll show you a fun technique for making ice cream in a bag. You can try an adventurous flavor (basil, perhaps?) or a timeless classic, like vanilla. Registration is required.
