Good afternoon,

As we enter May, the biggest thing on my mind most years is our summer reading program, Bookworm. That's true this year too, because Bookworm is a big deal at the library, but we're also getting ready to expand our hours and services next month.

If you're eagerly awaiting Bookworm, I have good news for you. Bookworm runs from June 7 - July 28 this year, but you can pre-register starting May 17! Adults can participate in the Reading Challenge (16 hour reading goal) and the Healthy Living Challenge, sponsored by Adena Health System (16 hour "move minutes" goal). There are prizes and drawings for both challenges!

We also have lots of fun events planned for this summer. Some things will still be offered virtually, but we will be hosting some in-person events outdoors too. We'll have book clubs, a paint night, yoga, and more in the picnic shelter at our Northside Branch. If weather or health restrictions prevent us from meeting in-person outdoors, we'll hold these events virtually.

Starting June 7, we'll be expanding our hours! Members of the community will also be able to reserve a few of our meeting spaces for small groups. In order to keep our spaces safer for everyone, we will be limiting the number of people who can be in each room, and masks will be required at all times. Here's the page with the latest information on our Coronavirus response:  https://www.crcpl.org/coronavirus-information/

As always, if you have suggestions for library events, I love to hear them. See you at the library!
