Good afternoon Library friends,

I hope this letter finds you well. While it doesn't feel like fall yet, it is September. Here's some exciting news from the library: as of Tuesday September 8, all 9 of our library locations will be open. Some hours and services have changed, so please check out this page for all the details. All libraries will be closed on Monday September 7 for Labor Day.

After taking a break from programming in August, virtual events resume in September. Some events will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube. While you can watch these any time, the best experience will be during the live video when you can ask questions and we'll answer them in the video. Other events will take place via Zoom. Please be sure to register for these events, so we can send you the Zoom invitation.

Friday September 11 and 25, 7:30-9:30pm: Drive-in Movie Battle

It's a movie battle, and you pick the movie! Head to our Facebook page the Monday before each movie night to vote. Here are some clues about the movies up for your vote:

September 11 (kids): Do you want a to watch a story about a group of kids who search for a hidden treasure and "never say die"? OR a story that never ends!

September 25 (adults): Are you listening McFly? Get your DeLorean up to 80 mph, but never set it to 2020! OR Bueller ... Bueller ... Bueller ... Do you want to know what he does on his day off?

Each movie starts at 8:00pm, but please plan to arrive early to secure your spot in the parking lot at Main Library. Your car radio is your sound system for the night, so be ready to tune in to the broadcast. You must remain in your car during the movie.

Monday September 14 and Thursday October 15: Virtual Gardening Class

As the season winds down, it's important to get your outdoor space ready for winter. Ross will be teaching two fall classes about things you can do now to make your spring lawn and garden happy.

Thursday October 15: Preparing for Next Year's Garden. This class will cover garden prep for winter, including transitioning to no till for veggies, and some quick tips on bulbs and flower beds.

Classes will be broadcast on the library Facebook page and our YouTube page. Tune in live and put your questions and photos in the comments! Thank you to the OSU Ross County Extension Office and Master Gardeners for presenting this class.
