What's Happening @ the Library
 
Welcome to our monthly newsletter.  We wanted to provide an update on how to access our services.   We are allowing patrons to reserve our study rooms (up to 3 days in advance) and we have tables out for use.   To reserve a study room visit: https://southplainfield.librarycalendar.com/reserve-room .Our hours are as follows:  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 10am-8pm, Friday 10am-6pm, Saturdays 9am-5pm and Sundays 1pm-5pm. 
The Library will be closed Thursday July 4in observance of Independence Day

If we don't have what you're looking for, you can go to our online catalog and search for what you're looking for and place it on hold from one of the libraries in our system and one of them will send it to us.  All items can be picked up Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 AM to 8 PM, Friday 10:00 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 1 PM to 5 PM. You will be notified via email or by an automated phone call when your item(s) are ready for pickup.

July is National Ice Cream Month

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream! Chocolate Chip, Rocky Road, Napoleon and Caramel Swirl, there are hundreds of flavors of ice cream to sample and flavor, and the hot months of the year are perfect for indulging in this fantastic dairy delight.

Since childhood this treat has defined most of our lives, with the sound of the Ice Cream man driving down the street marking some of the best moments of our lives as we ran screaming down the sidewalk, money in hand, to catch him before they got away.

Chocolate has an almost magical ability to make life better. And eating an ounce of dark chocolate each day actually has some health benefits, including reduced stress and blood pressure. Indulge in your favorite chocolate for Chocolate Day.  
 
 
 
National French Fry Day is July 13

You can pair them with some simple condiments, top them with truffle oil and parmesan, or mash them on top of a juicy burger. There are dozens of different ways to enjoy french fries. Whether you prefer your fries Cajun-style, sweet potato, crinkle-cut, curly, waffle, or covered in chili and cheese, today is the day to celebrate this American favorite.  There's no wrong way to enjoy a big pile of fries today. 

 
 
Paperback Day is July 30
Books have the magical ability to transport the reader to faraway places and teach things you never knew before. And paperback books make it easy for you to read on the go. So for Paperback Book Day, grab a paperback and head to your favorite reading spot to enjoy.
