March is National Nutrition Month

National Nutrition Month is an annual nutrition education and information campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign, celebrated each year during the month of March, focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

Other things happening in March:

National Peanut Butter Lover's Day is March 1
If you prefer it smooth, chunky, or natural, peanut butter is the perfect addition to any snack and it goes with practically everything. Whether you dig into a PB&J sandwich, homemade peanut butter cookies, or a Thai peanut sauce that you'll want to put on everything, there's no wrong way to enjoy peanut butter today.

International International Women's Day is March 8

International Women’s Day is a global day of celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.  The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.  Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.

International Waffle Day is March 25
Waffles can be incorporated into every meal. Drench them in butter and syrup for breakfast, top them with tomato sauce and mozzarella for lunch, use them instead of a bun for a burger at dinner, and make an ice cream sandwich for dessert. For International Waffle Day, plug in your waffle maker and enjoy your favorite waffle recipe, or try something new.
