January is National Hobby Month

What do you like to do in your spare time? Every January, during National Hobby Month, thousands of Americans celebrate their favorite hobbies and try out new ones. From outdoor activities like swimming or hiking, to artsy projects like painting or knitting — most of us have go-to pursuits. During this month, don’t just stick to your regular routine. Expand your list of hobbies and share the ones you love.  The great thing about having a hobby is that it can take your mind off the pressure of work or other daily stresses. Today hobbies are embraced all over the world and people’s passion for their hobbies has taken them places they never would have thought possible. From reading, writing, and collecting, to art and video games, whatever it is that gets your gears going, this January is your opportunity to kick it into full swing and let your inner hobbler out!

Other things happening in January:
National Spaghetti Day is January 4
The first pasta was produced in the Southern Italy around 12th century. In the 19th century it became very popular all over Italy after lots of pasta factories were established and its production came into mass market.Italian pasta appeared in the USA in the end of the 19th century. Whether you make your own or stick to store-bought, nothing beats a massive bowl of spaghetti with garlicky marinara and meatballs on a cold winter day..

National Bubble Bath Day is January 8
Bubble baths are so much fun. We wish everyday could be Bubble Bath Day. After all the hubbub of the holidays, you most likely need some serious "me time." Today, draw a hot bath, add your favorite bath bomb, sit back, and relax with a good book or a glass of wine. You've earned it!

National Popcorn Day is January 19
Today, honor the simple, no-frills snack that is popcorn. It can be sweet or salty. Whether you pop it on the stovetop, toss it in the microwave, or buy it pre-made, no movie is complete without a bucket of buttery, salty popcorn. And today's the perfect excuse to pop a batch for a movie night.
