Learn the Night Sky, One Constellation at a Time!

All ages welcome, children, teens & adults.

Club Meeting, 7 to 8 pm: Dave plans a great discussion on a selected celestial object and several seasonal constellations.

Telescope Observation, 8 to 9 pm: Telescope observing time in front of the Library, weather permitting.

Check out a Telescope: The Club offers a telescope, which is available to check out and take home, on a first come, first serve basis, too!

ABOUT DAVE:  Dave Komar has been a passionate amateur astronomy for almost 60 years, with significant knowledge of the night sky based on observational experience not only in the United States, but in Asia and Australia.  He is a collector and restorer of vintage telescopes from the 1950-70’s, and has been published in Astronomy Technology Today.  Dave is currently a member of the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC).
