National Emergency Service Appreciation Week! - May 17-23
Make large paper hearts, balloons, kites or stars. Write inside each one a thank you note to the brave men and women who help us all in an emergency. PUT THEM IN YOUR WINDOWS TO SHOW SUPPORT! Take a photo and post on our Facebook page: parsippanytroyhillslibrary
Parachute Challenge- Children of all ages create a parachute out of materials found at home. Send a picture of your final parachute project to our facebook messenger. Check out Miss Jen's video Monday, May 18 at 10 am with an example of a homemade parachute project. Winner's picture will be posted Friday evening.
Monday Maker Challenge: Dancing Rice – Monday, May 18 at 2 pm.
Silly Stories -- Monday, May 18 at 7 pm. Miss Rose will share some silly books and demonstrate a simple craft you can make.
Zoom Storytime- Tuesday, May 19 at 10 am. Recommended for children ages 2-5. Join Miss Jen for stories about the beach, songs and dancing on zoom. Email Miss Jen at jennifer.carlin@parsippanylibrary.org for the zoom meeting code and password. Please send emails by Monday at 8 pm to register.
Game Time – Tuesday, May 19 at 4 pm. Miss Rose will show you simple games you can make at home to play.
Night Owl Pajama Storytime - Tuesday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. - Join Miss Kristen as she reads some fun stories about owls!
Nursery Rhyme Time with Mrs. O – Wednesday, May 20 at 11 am. Listen to songs, nursery rhymes, and a story.
Managing Feelings Though Yoga: Wednesday, May 20 at 2:00 p.m. Listen to Miss Karen read Dr. Seuss's, My Colored Days, about all the different types of emotional days we may experience. Engage in yoga positions with her, as well as deep breathing exercises to calm your hearts, minds.
STEAM Thursday, May 21 at 12 pm. Learn how to make magic snow with Miss Corinne.
Fun Factor Math Activity via Zoom – Thursday, May 21 at 4:30 pm. Bedtime Math has created math activities for remote learning. Join Mrs. O to plot coordinates on a graph to find the hidden treasure. Email ptchildrens@parsippanylibrary.org for details about the materials you will need for this program.
Live Zoom Pajama "Community Helpers" Storytime: Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. Miss Karen will be reading books to you live through Zoom! Registration is limited and required. Unicorns - Friday, May 22 - LIVE ZOOM @ 11 am. Join us for all things unicorn! We will read fun stories about unicorns and do a simple craft.
Zoom Laugh Out Loud Story and Craft- Friday, May 22 at 2 pm. Join Miss Jen on zoom as she reads Narwhal: Unicorn of the Sea by Ben Clanton and learn how to create a cute and easy Narwhal craft. Recommended for children in grades 2-3. Interact with other children and Miss Jen as we laugh, craft and tell jokes. Cooking with Miss Kristen - Friday, May 22 at 5:00 p.m. - Join Miss Kristen as she teaches how to make an easy and fun sweet treat!

Friends of the Lbrary Fundraiser
