RESPOND NOW TO YOUR 2020 CENSUS
Although we are all preoccupied right now with the coronavirus issues, it is important for our community to know that the 2020 Census is still underway. Each year, the Federal Government spends approximately $675 billion on programs and services that benefit our local community. Some of these programs are Medicare, Medicaid, National School lunch, WIC, SNAP, Affordable Housing and Transportation funding. These programs and many more, are funded in part based on Census count. Now more than ever, it is important to make sure our community gets the funding it needs and deserves. In addition, seats in the U.S. House of Representatives are reapportioned among the States every 10 years, and last time, New Jersey lost a House seat.
All residents, both citizens and non-citizens need to respond. You can do so today on-line at www.my2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020.

Wonderbooks
The Parsippany Library has a new product for Parsippany children! Wonderbooks are print books with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. This is a new version of readalong books, which also include a learning mode with questions about the story. A Wonderbook can be mailed directly to your home while the Parsippany Library is closed. There is a limit of one Wonderbook per household.
Contact ptchildrens@parsippanylibrary.org or call 973-887-5150 ext. 233 if you would like to request a Wonderbook. This service is free but customers will need to provide a home address and a library card number. If you don’t currently have a library card, the librarian can help you register for a card online. Wonderbooks must be returned to the Parsippany Library when the library reopens.
Available titles include Princess Hair by Sharee Miller, Otto Runs for President by Rosemary Wells, Once Upon a Slime by Andy Maxwell, It’s Raining for Gail Gibbons, and several more excellent stories.
