The 5th Wave follows a 16-year-old survivor of a catastrophic alien invasion. Cassie is a high-school student leading a normal life, including a crush on a football star, when extraterrestrials invade Earth and kill millions of humans. Now, she must rescue her kidnapped brother while figuring out whom she can trust.

Based on the acclaimed 2013 young-adult sci-fi novel by Rick Yancey, This film is rated PG13. Anyone 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY FUNDRAISER

LEGO Robotics @ Lake Hiawatha!

Steam Works Studio  (located on Waterview Blvd, Parsippany) will engage each child as they creatively build and program robots with LEGO® bricks and computer software—all while having a great time developing STEAM skills!

The Teen Advisory Board is made up of teens who participate in and influence the functioning of the library.  TAB is an open forum to have your voice heard. Stop by the Teen Center during a TAB meeting to see what it’s all about; and, if you’re interested, apply to join!  Registration is not required.

We're looking for a few good Friends!

The Friends of the Parsippany Library is a 501C3 volunteer organization.

We are looking for a president; vice president; secretary and treasurer. Job descriptions can be found on the Library’s website. Essentially these officers attend monthly meetings ( at a time and day of the week agreed upon by the officers) ;  solicit ideas and preside over the fundraising activities of the Friends; encourage involvement in the Book Nook and any other of the Friends fundraising activities. This is the perfect job for anyone who loves the Library and wishes to give back to the community!
