Women of Picatinny
Tuesday, March 17
7:00pm-8:00pm
We welcome back Jeff Ranu CIV USARMY FUTURES COMMAND (USA) to present:
The Women of Picatinny Arsenal.
The presentation features the contributions of women to Picatinny Arsenal, and the Army, from 1907 - 2018. Picatinny was founded in 1880, but did not become an Arsenal until 1907 when Picatinny took on the Manufacturing and Research/Development mission. Women have played an important role since day 1, though those roles have transformed over the years (Manufacturing, Administrative, Science/Engineering, Senior Executives). The transitions over time are evident in the presentation.
Agents Of Change: Women in New Jersey History
Friday, March 20
2:00pm-3:30pm
Down the alphabet, from Dr. Virginia Apgar, inventor of the Apgar score, to legendary Revolutionary War heroine Temperance Wick, New Jersey women have been integral to American history. While the lives and contributions of these pioneers don’t fit a specific category, what they do have in common is both their energy and the sense of purpose they brought to their lives.
This lecture is presented by New Jersey photojournalist Jim DelGiudice, whose architectural photography has appeared in several National Register nominations.
Remember the Ladies
Friday, March 27

In this lecture, we remeber the ladies.
