The Pinterest Junkie Group: A M3 Program Series

If you love scrolling through Pinterest pinning crafts and projects, this is the group for you!   Once a month, The Pinterest Junkie Group will meet and complete  a project that is popular on Pinterest.    
Every month will be something new and exciting to create.   We will provide the supplies and equipment from our Makerspace (M3);  all you have to do is come and fun have and meet new friends!   Registration is required and this program is for ages 18 through adults.

Mike Venus: 77 Years Old Who Hiked the Entire Appalachian Trail @ Lake HIawatha

Tuesday April 12, 2016 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Mike Venus, age 77, from Sparta, NJ is the 4th oldest person to have hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (2,190 miles).  Mike and his wife, Rita will tell his inspiring story of the mental and physical challenges preparing and walking on the trail.  Mike will share his photo album.

Most of us won't be doing extensive hiking, but we can all improve our fitness on a daily basis.  Dr. Wazim Buksh from Atlantic Health System will talk about the benefits of exercise, starting a walking program, safe stretching, and knowing your pace.

Teen March Madness


March 1-March 31

We’re celebrating March Madness— library style!  Come into the Teen Center at the Main Branch or stop by the Lake Hiawatha branch throughout the month of March and vote on which book you think will win each bracket!  At the end of the week, the winners are revealed, and the books move on. The champion from each branch will be announced on Thursday, March 31.  Join us for a donut celebration at 4 pm in the Teen Center on the day of the big reveal!
