Become a Friend of the Library!

Every library needs a volunteer group and the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library System is no exception! The purpose of the Friends of the Parsippany Library, a 501C3 organization, is to raise money for special library programs and collections of library materials.

The Friends also serve as advocates for the library and support any legislation that benefits libraries.

The Library Board and administration are looking for Friends members as well as Friends officers. Friends members are 18 years of age and older and pay an annual donation of $15 or more.

If you would like to volunteer, you can print out a Friends Interest form here: http://parsippanylibrary.org/…/…/Friends-Interest-Form-1.pdf

Download the eBook or Audiobook of the Harry Potter series using cloudLibrary. Thank you to the Friends of the Parsippany Library for this collection! Listen, Read, Enjoy!

The Friends of the Parsippany library recently donated $11,300 to the Library. This money was raised through Friends membership dues and proceeds from book sales.

Among the many services and programs funded by the Friends, the Library was able to purchase playaways for children and ESL playaway lauchpads, some of which are pictured here.

The playaways help develop listening and vocabulary skills while the launchpads are self contained iPad like devices. These can be borrowed from the Library.

Pictured above with 2 happy customers are Chris Liparini, President of the volunteer Friends organization and Corinne Markey, STEM expert and Makerspace Coordinator.
