Financial Literacy for Teens - Becoming an Informed Investor December 5 6:30pm-7:30pm Grades 6-12 Learn how you can become an informed investor and make your money work for you! Learn about the financial market, how to invest responsibly, and avoid scams.
This program is sponsored by the Investor Advocacy Project (IAP) of Seton Hall University School of Law. The mission of IAP is to raise awareness of the importance of financial literacy through presentations in communities around the state, so that individuals may make more informed investment decisions.
For students in grades 6-12, but adults who are beginner investors are welcome to attend. Registration is required. Click here to register online.
Speed Math December 14 7:00pm-8:00pm Ever felt handicapped without a calculator? You are not alone. Most students are dependent on a calculator for all kinds of math questions – even the simple ones. Well, not any more! In this interactive Speed Math class, learn some nifty math techniques that can help you do multiplication, division, squaring and even cubing of numbers mentally. Amaze your math teachers with this skill and ace your math class. Parents are welcome to join.
This program is run by Accel Learning, Parsippany (https://parsippany.accellearning.com). Accel Learning is a center for Math Olympiads and Math Kangaroo training and contests.
