LAKESIDE ART STUDIO TEEN STUDENTS TO EXHIBIT AT THE PARSIPPANY LIBRARY
Show Dates: October 1 – October 31, 2017
Artist’s Reception: Sunday, October 15, 1:30 – 3:30PM
(Parsippany, NJ) - Students of Lakeside Art Studio will hold an exhibition at the Parsippany Library for the month of October. The exhibit will include artworks of the teen students of Dannielle Mick: Emma Han of Madison, Emma Navarro of Lake Hiawatha, Alessandra Parziale of Parsippany, and Yasmeen Sharipova of Towaco. All of these students began their art studies with Dannielle as children, and have progressed under her tutelage into talented young artists. This will be the first time these students have the opportunity to display their work for the public to see.
At Lakeside Art Studio not only are the students learning how to draw and paint, but they are also introduced to the business aspects of being an artist. Part of the art experience is learning how to show your work in a professional manner, which includes framing, pricing and photographing. This exhibition is an important learning experience for the young artists.
A reception to meet the artists will take place on Sunday, October 15, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Artwork can be viewed any time during library hours. All artwork is for sale. The Parsippany Library is located at 449 Halsey Road, Parsippany, NJ.
At Lakeside Art Studio, teaching is done both in the studio and outdoors, en plein air. Inspiration translates from the local lakeshore scenery into the light and airy studio. The school offers in-depth art instruction, including private instruction, in a variety of media suitable for students of all levels.
The studio holds classes and workshops year round for all ages. They are offered days, evenings, and weekends and are updated frequently. Classes and workshops are kept small to give each student more individual attention.
Students from Lakeside Art Studio learn to see their world in a new way. The impact on their art can be significant. A newly developed vision changes their appreciation of life and surroundings and enhances creative awareness. Students bond together and share a common artistic and personal journey.
