Summer Reading at the Library!

This year's Summer Reading theme is Build A Better World. Stop by any of our locations to pick up a Summer Reading activity sheet and get started!

We have Summer Reading activities all summer long for children, teens, and adults.  A full schedule of events can be found on on our website at parsippanylibrary.org.

The last day to hand in activity sheets and raffle tickets for Summer Reading is Monday, August 28.

 

 

 

 

Name the Book Contest

Name the Book contest for children ages 5-10. Stop by the display case in the Main Library's lower level and see if you can guess the titles of the books represented! The contest ends on July 31, 2017.

Two children with correct answers will each receive a trophy. All materials and trophies have been donated by the Hills of Troy Neighborhood Association.

Mad Science Rocket Workshop

Explore the science involved in rocket construction and the force of flight as you build your own skyblazer rocket!

 Forest Friends Teddy Bear Workshop        

Saturday, August 5   

10:30am – 12:00pm

Ages 3-6
Join us as Miss Karen reads a book about forest animals. Everyone will then hand stuff a plush animal they will receive at this workshop, wish on a star, and name their new stuffed animal! This workshop is 90 minutes long. Each child needs an adult caregiver to stay with them and help them stuff their animal. Registration is required and starts July 22.  Register online here.

 

 

Color-A-Smile            

Every Wednesday from July 19 – August 16         

3:30pm – 5:00pm

Ages 6-13
Come join us with a smile on your face as we color pictures for our troops and our senior citizens . Spread some joy! All the supplies will be provided for you.
