Museum Passes Available at the Main Library!

If you are a Parsippany resident and have a library card, you have access to borrow our many museum passes for free!

The latest museum pass the library has is for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. We have two passes (two adults per pass).

Skilled Trades and Occupations Fair 

Main Library

Wednesday, May 24

6:00pm-8:30pm

Looking for some Occupational Direction?  The evening has been planned especially for individuals over the age of 15 with little or no work experience, and those who want to change occupations. 

This Occupation Fair will provide access to career exploration.

¨ Find out what a day on the job is like. 

¨ Meet with people who do the work. 

¨ Ask questions about training, apprentice programs, educational requirements, pay and    advancement opportunities.

¨ Meet with vocation educators about programs that ready you for employment opportunities. 

¨ Learn how to find the hidden job market, improve your eligibility for jobs, and locate jobs using specialized websites and other computer resources.

 

In addition to the Skilled Trades and Occupation Fair, Library Resource Tech programs will be held in the tech lab during the same week and offer an in depth look at these career resource databases:

Exploring the NJ and Federal Civil Service websites

Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Main Library

 

 

Summer Reads Book Sale Starts May 27!

The sale will include paperback novels and audio books – including a small selection of non-fiction items (mainly in paperback).

 

Perfect for packing up for a summer vacation getaway no matter where your travels take you!  Also included will be a selection of books for the younger set. 

 

The sale will continue as long as supplies last, so be sure to shop early for the best selections!
