Wednesdays  from 10:30 – 11:00am = children who are NOT walking yet (crawlers) ONLY

                      Mad Science presents Frosty Meets the

                            Mad Scientist @ The Main Library!

                                         Thursday February 9, 2017 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM

Our pal, Frosty, needs to get to the North Pole, and it will take a Mad Scientist to get him there!  Build a snowman with Mad Science and then explore the different ways that he can travel over land, sea, and air.  Could he fly by hot air balloon?  Maybe he can go by hovercraft!  The possibilities are endless, but it's a race against time because when our dry ice disappears, so will Frosty!
Recommended for children ages 5 and older.
Registration is required and will begin on January 18 at 9am.



Fun Facts about Washington and Lincoln @ the Main Library!

For children in grades K-2.  Learn some fun facts about Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and make a special patriotic craft for Presidents Day.  Registration is required and will begin on January 18 at 9am.

Practice reading out loud to a cute and gentle listener. Each child signs up for a 10-minute session.

It's not too late to purchase a beautiful piece of art for your collection or to give as a gift. Contact the Library for more information. These are the beautiful works that were donated by local artists for our 10th anniversary gala.
Payment can be made by credit card, cash or check. Proceeds will be used for art programs for children, teens and adults.


Friday Film Night -Arrival @ the Main Library

Anyone 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

TAB Meeting @ the Main Library

The Teen Advisory Board is made up of teens who participate in and influence the functioning of the library.  TAB is an open forum to have your voice heard. Stop by Teen Central during a TAB meeting to see what it’s all about and consider applying to join!  Registration is not required.



Amazing But True  @ Lake Hiawatha!

Students in grades K-5 will listen to a non-fiction book and/or watch an educational science video to learn amazing but true facts related to STEM subjects. We will also do a craft and activities related to the topic.         No Registration Required

Come to the tween scene to read and discuss great books, do fun activities and enjoy a snack!  This book club is for fifth, sixth and seventh grade students and meets the third Wednesday of each month. 
Session dates are: 2/15/17, 3/15/17, 4/19/17, 5/17/17

Registration is required.   When you register for the February 15 session you have a guaranteed spot in the book club from February-May 2017.
