Are you overwhelmed by the looming cost of college tuition?  In this FREE workshop you will find out how to locate scholarships that suit your skills and attributes. We will review the different types of scholarships and a process for finding the right ones for you. Discover what’s important when it comes to securing money for your education and how to write a winning essay from a writing expert who facilitated her entire college education through scholarship funds alone. It can be done!  Registration is required.  Both parents and students are encouraged to attend.  In case of inclement weather, this program will take place on Tuesday, January 31 at 7 pm.

Friday Film Night- Girl on the Train @ the Main Library

TAB Meeting @ the Main Library
(Grades 9-12)
Monday, Jan. 9 & Jan. 23, 3 pm
The Teen Advisory Board is made up of teens who participate in and influence the functioning of the library.  TAB is an open forum to have your voice heard. Stop by Teen Central during a TAB meeting to see what it’s all about and consider applying to join!  Registration is not required.

Amazing But True STEM Program @ Lake Hiawatha!

Tuesday, January 24       4:00 – 5:00pm   Grades K – 5  

How is a bridge built and why?  Drop in to attend this Fun Facts program and find out the answers! We will begin the program reading a short non-fiction book related to one of these topics, then dive into and activity, and finish with an exciting craft.  No registration required. 

Future dates: Tuesday, January & 31 and February 7 & 14

Program is ONLY for students in grades K - 5th.  All other children must stay with a caregiver.

Teen Tech Time (Grades 6-12) @ the Main Library

Wednesday, January 25th 3 pm

Main Library, Tech Center

Need extra computer time?  Want to play games like Minecraft and Block Miner with your friends?  Every fourth Wednesday of the month the tech lab is teen only for two hours.  No registration is required.  For students in grades 6-12.  Seating is first come, first served.  There is a 1-hour limit when others are waiting.
