        Come to the 10th Anniversary Gala!!

Everyone is invited to have fun while supporting a good cause... the Parsippany Library! Celebrate the Main Library building's 10th anniversary on Friday, November 4 from 7-9 p.m. at the Parsippany Library at 449 Halsey Rd.

This after-hours event is for adults aged 21 and older. Tickets cost $40 per person. It includes a talk and an autograph session by Kimberly McCreight, author of Reconstructing Amelia, Where they Found Her, and The Outliers. It also includes refreshments donated by Wegmans and Total Wine, music, and a silent art auction. Attire is dressy casual.

                  All proceeds will go to providing Library programs to adults and children as well as equipment and materials.

Roald Dahl Movie Celebration:

The Witches

Wednesday October 12, 2016 3:30 PM @ the Main Library

In this adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel The Witches, a young boy is vacationing at the seaside with his grandmother when he discovers that the hotel he is staying at is hosting a convention of witches. Eavesdropping on the witches, he learns that the Grand High Witch (Anjelica Huston) has devised a plan to turn all of the children in England into mice.This film is rated PG. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

                         Giving a Good Impressionism Art Lecture Series

Join us at the Parsippany Library for the Live Well, Age Smart series that is scheduled for four consecutive Friday afternoons (October 7 through October 28 at 2 pm), and refreshments are served. Images of Impressionist art from various settings and their influences will be examined at each lecture.

Yoga for Preschoolers (Ages 3-5) @ the Main Library

Children ages 3-5 are invited to listen to a story and then try some fun and easy yoga poses with the help of a special yoga storytime instructor!

Lighthouses: Their History and the Brave Men and Women Who Tended Them @ Lake Hiawatha Library!

Author and photographer Kevin Woyce will narrate the history and unique architecture of lighthouses from ancient Egypt to the modern world.  Stories of the brave men and women who tended the lighthouses will be shared, as will vintage photos.

Teens are invited to join us every third Thursday of the month at the Lake Hiawatha Branch for a fun and interactive art workshop.  Each month local artist Kayla Dailey will introduce a new topic and demonstrate different techniques for creating beautiful art!
