If you love scrolling through Pinterest and pinning crafts and projects, this is the group for you!
 
Once a month, The Pinterest Junkie Group will meet and complete a project that is popular on Pinterest.  Every month will be something new and exciting to create.
 
We will provide the supplies and equipment from our Makerspace (M3); all you have to do is come and fun have and meet new friends!

Start your baby on the path to literacy early! Infants and their caregivers will enjoy simple stories, songs, and action rhymes. Under 24 months and not walking only. (Older siblings welcome.) No Registration Required.

 

11:15 – 11:45am Wednesdays =  Wee Ones Storytime
A lively, interactive program full of songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and fun for babies who are walking on their own. Only for children under 24 months who are walking. (Older siblings welcome.)

The Witches

In this adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel The Witches, a young boy is vacationing at the seaside with his grandmother when he discovers that the hotel he is staying at is hosting a convention of witches. Eavesdropping on the witches, he learns that the Grand High Witch (Anjelica Huston) has devised a plan to turn all of the children in England into mice.This film is rated PG. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

                         Giving a Good Impressionism Art Lecture Series

Join us at the Parsippany Library for the Live Well, Age Smart series that is scheduled for four consecutive Friday afternoons (October 7 through October 28 at 2 pm), and refreshments are served. Images of Impressionist art from various settings and their influences will be examined at each lecture.

Children's book author Audrey Vernick will talk about creating her stories and becoming an author.  Ms. Vernick's books will be available for purchase after the presentation.  Her books include First Grade Dropout, Is Your Buffalo Ready for Kindergarten?, Brothers at Bat, and Two Naomis.  This event is recommended for children age five and older and their families. 
 
This author presentation is sponsored by the Elaine L. Galliker Memorial Fund.

Lighthouses: Their History and the Brave Men and Women Who Tended Them @ Lake Hiawatha Library!

Teens are invited to join us every third Thursday of the month at the Lake Hiawatha Branch for a fun and interactive art workshop.  Each month local artist Kayla Dailey will introduce a new topic and demonstrate different techniques for creating beautiful art!
