If you love scrolling through Pinterest and pinning crafts and projects, this is the group for you!
 
Once a month, The Pinterest Junkie Group will meet and complete a project that is popular on Pinterest.  Every month will be something new and exciting to create.
 
We will provide the supplies and equipment from our Makerspace (M3); all you have to do is come and fun have and meet new friends!

In this adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel The Witches, a young boy is vacationing at the seaside with his grandmother when he discovers that the hotel he is staying at is hosting a convention of witches. Eavesdropping on the witches, he learns that the Grand High Witch (Anjelica Huston) has devised a plan to turn all of the children in England into mice.This film is rated PG. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

Friends of the Library Book Sale @ The Main Library!

We have a limited time only “Fabulous Fiction” sale at the Main Library on Halsey Road starting this Friday – 09/16/16!

There will plenty of new adventures available along with some old favorites – Hard Covers are priced at $1., All Paperbacks $.50.  In addition there will also be a limited selection of CD’s priced at $1 each. After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. Weekly storytimes @ Lake Hiawatha!!

We have one for each preschool age group!    

Begins the week of September 19th.

 

Mondays from 11 – 11:45am  = for children who are 2 – 3 years old

Tuesdays from 11 – 11:45am = for children who are ages 3 & up (preschoolers only)

**Wednesdays from 10:30 – 10:30am = crawlers (children who are NOT walking yet)

**Wednesdays from 11:15 – 11:45am = walkers (children who are UNDER 2 and walking)

**please respect that this is the only program for children under age 2.  Please attend program that corresponds to your child’s age only.

Teens are invited to join us every third Thursday of the month at the Lake Hiawatha Branch for a fun and interactive art workshop.  Each month local artist Kayla Dailey will introduce a new topic and demonstrate different techniques for creating beautiful art! 
For students in grades 6-12.  Registration is required.   Future dates: October 20, 7 pm; November 17, 7 pm; December 15, 7 pm.

Teen Tech Time @ the Main Library

(Grades 6-12)

Wednesday, September 28, 3-5 pm
Need extra computer time?  Want to play games like Minecraft and Block Miner with your friends?  Every fourth Wednesday of the month the tech lab is teen only for two hours.  No registration is required.  For students in grades 6-12.  Seating is first come, first served.  There is a 1-hour limit when others are waiting.  Future dates:  October 26, 3-5 pm; November 23, 1-3 pm; December 28, 10 am -12 pm.
