Join the club at
http://parsippanylibrary.readsquared.com/
Record the hours or minutes that you read from June 22 to August 22.
Preschoolers, elementary school students, and teens can join the club. The ten elementary schools in Parsippany will compete for a trophy based on the average number of hours each student reads.
You can read any type of book including audiobooks and ebooks. Preschoolers can count the minutes that someone reads to them.
Every child that reads for 36 hours will receive a goody bag with small prizes at the end of the summer.
Currently the children’s programs are held virtually. Access programs through the library’s Facebook page or at the library website at https://parsippanylibrary.org/resources/children/
Check out an ebook, https://parsippanylibrary.org/digital/ or view a book directly through Tumblebooks. You do not need a library card to view Tumblebooks but you will need a library card to download ebooks from the CloudLibrary.
Take home craft kits and activity packs will be available soon. Check the children’s programs page for details about age recommendations and how/where to pick up the craft kits.
Some good news! At the Main Library, 449 Halsey Road, our Wi-Fi signal has been increased. From the safety of your vehicle, in the parking lot of the library, you can social distance and still access the Library’s Free WiFi. The Wi-Fi signs on the building windows and in the parking lot will direct you to the best spot in ot to pick up a signal. Look for the signs on the right side of the parking lot, as your car is facing the building.
Our doors may be closed but we are still here for you!
Good news! Our Library book drops are now open! You can return your items at any time. Fines and fees have been waived until June 30th.
The library cannot accept book or media donations at this time. Due to current public health considerations, donations left at the Library will be quickly discarded.
