Librarians are available from 9AM-5PM Monday through Friday to assist with any questions or concerns and to make book or DVD or audiobook bundles for you to pick up. We have lots of great stuff on the shelves! Call us at 781-395-7950, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or message us on our Facebook page (@MedfordLibrary). We can pull titles you select or pack you up a bag of the kind of things you like. We’re practicing “No-contact Pickup”- we will check out your items, bag them, and put the bag outside the entrance to the Adult Services space.
Please note that the delivery systems has been shut down temporarily so we will not be receiving items from other libraries. If you place a hold on a book using the catalog, it will not be processed until we are, again, fully open to the public. So make sure to contact us directly to get materials now.
We are asking that you hold your returns until we reopen. Do not worry about fines or overdue materials. We want you to keep everything until we are open again! Your due dates have been extended and we are not charging fines during this time.
We have lots and lots of resources you can access from home!
Even though the library building is closed to the public, you can still access MPL eResources: including ebooks and audiobooks through the Hoopla and Overdrive/Libby services; streaming music through Hoopla and Naxos; streaming film and and television through Kanopy, Hoopla and RB Digital (which includes AcornTV and the Great Courses series). Also, check out online learning with Mango and Universal Class! You will need your library card and a library card PIN/Password number to access these services. If you do not have a physical card, give us a call and we can issue one for you over the phone.
You can also apply for an electronic card at https://library.minlib.net/selfreg
which will give you access to the Minuteman Library Network ebook and audio book catalog.
