Knitters for Charity. Friday, January 18, 2019, 11:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. Join this fun group to knit and crochet for charity. They have donated over 14,000 items--hats, scarves, items for children, afghans, and more--to cancer patients, the needy, the homeless, and others. New faces are always welcome, and if you want to learn how to knit or crochet, they will teach you!

Taoist Tai Chi. Friday, January 18, 2019, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Come learn the art of tai chi! This class is free and open to all.

Music with Mar with Ms. Colleen. Saturday, January 19, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Music with Mar. is an internationally known, research-based educational music class designed for children and their caregivers. Children will be exposed to puppets, books, and music and will have the opportunity to sing, dance, and play instruments. Classes are designed to enhance & promote basic social, motor, language and cognitive skills for children ages 0-3.

Baby Storytime. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. This story time will be for children ages birth to 18 mos. Activities will foster development in pre-reading, motor, and social skills through the use of music, movement, finger-plays, and props.  We will finish our program each week with a free-play setting that provides plenty of opportunity for socialization for caregivers and babies alike.

Toddler Storytime. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 11:15 a.m. – 11:35 a.m. Is your little one full of wiggles, jiggles, and giggles?  This story time is for children ages 16-18 mos. to around 2 1/2 years and will feature short stories, moving and grooving, singing, and activities to enhance the topics. With plenty of fun and excitement, we will not only touch on pre-reading skills, but spatial awareness, attention, motor development, and social skills as well.

Mobile Medical Unit. Tuesday, January 15, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Pasco Public Defender Mobile Medical Unit is a medical office on wheels. The full-time staff includes a director, nurse practitioner, and driver. The Unit often has community volunteers, doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to assist. Pasco County residents can receive basic health care on the Mobile Unit at no charge. Emergency services are not provided on the Unit.

Knitting for Beginners: Scarf Project. Monday, January 14, 2019, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Join our volunteer and learn to knit at this beginner class. After learning some knitting basics you will make a scarf. The class is for ages 9+ Registration and a Foundry Waiver and Safety Form are required. Intermediate knitters are welcome to come knit during our Open Build time without registration. Registration required.

Observational Drawing. Monday, January 14, 2019, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Are you an artist or art lover looking to improve your drawing skills? Join us at the library as we learn about historical and contemporary drawing practices, and enhance our skills through various observational methods. All experience levels welcome. All supplies (easels, charcoal, 18x24" newsprint paper, and drawing subjects) will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own paper and drawing tools if you wish. Yoga for Stress Relief. Monday, January 14, 2019, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The purpose of yoga is to increase overall well-being by reducing stress and tension and by increasing flexibility, strength and enhancing breathing ability. This free class offers fundamental techniques tailored to the level of ability and fitness of the participants with an emphasis on relaxation and mindfulness throughout the practice. Ongoing classes will enable participants to develop their practice at an appropriate gradual pace. Attire: Comfortable exercise clothing. Accessories: Large beach towel or yoga mat. Chair Yoga. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Join instructor, Cara Newtown, for this basic level class offering a variety of seated and standing yoga poses designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.  Breathing and relaxation exercises will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Learning Adventures – Hop & Bop. Thursday, January 17, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. SING and dance at this early learning program that focuses on the use of music to learn sounds in words, and social interaction. For children ages 3 to 5 and their parent or caregiver.  This month's theme:  Winter
