Rock the Ceiling. Monday, July 9, 2018, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Join us from 3-5pm on Mondays from June 4th to August 6th to paint your own ceiling tile with your favorite book cover! We will have paints and materials set up for you to use. Leave your tile here or bring it home to work on. The tiles will be hung in the library, so come out and show how much you love your Land O' Lakes branch. We will have a Showcase of all the tiles at our Final Summer Party August 11th from 10a-4p. Yoga for Stress Relief. Monday, July 9, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The purpose of yoga is to increase overall well-being by reducing stress and tension and by increasing flexibility, strength and enhancing breathing ability. This free class offers fundamental techniques tailored to the level of ability and fitness of the participants with an emphasis on relaxation and mindfulness throughout the practice. Ongoing classes will enable participants to develop their practice at an appropriate gradual pace. Attire: Comfortable exercise clothing. Accessories: Large beach towel or yoga mat. Homeschool Forum. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. To Homeschool or Not? That is the Question Whether you are new to homeschooling, thinking about the possibility of homeschooling, or wanting to supplement the education your child is receiving in their current school environment, this free forum: outlines key factors in making the best educational decision for your family, provides ideas on overcoming resistance to your decision, and offers nonjudgemental encouragement in pursuing parent-directed education. Presenter Diane Clark is a long-term resident of the Lutz-Land O'Lakes community, who has designed customized curricula and homeschooled her children for the past 17 years. Diane holds a bachelor's degree in communications from LaSalle University and a Master's in Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has taught public speaking at the Executive MBA level and has been recognized for entrepreneurial achievement. Diane has instructed children and adults for nearly 40 years, in a variety of areas including public speaking, swimming, gymnastics, and the martial arts. Prior to becoming a homeschooling mom, she held professional positions in public broadcasting, higher education, and the corporate world. Currently, Diane holds her 3rd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and is a certified Israeli Krav Maga instructor. She enjoys teaching taekwondo and street-based self defense to children and adults in the community.

LOL Card Club. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Join our LOL Card Club to play the card game hand and foot! New and veteran players welcome! For adults.

Chair Yoga. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Join our volunteer teacher for an all new Chair Yoga program! A signed liability waiver is required. The fitness goals for this program are to improve balance and increase endurance, flexibility, and range of motion. The class is taught in seated and standing positions using a chair as a prop. Research shows that people with Parkinson's Disease can benefit from activities such as Chair Yoga. Please bring water and wear comfortable clothing. If you wish to relax on the floor for the final pose, feel free to bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket.

Teen Volunteer Training. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is the training session to become a teen volunteer at the Land O' Lakes Library.
