Knitters for Charity.Friday, July 6, 2018, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Join this fun group to knit and crochet for charity. They have donated over 14,000 items–hats, scarves, items for children, afghans, and more–to cancer patients, the needy, the homeless, and others. New faces are always welcome, and if you want to learn how to knit or crochet, they will teach you!

Rock the Ceiling. Monday, July 2, 2018, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Join us from 3-5pm on Mondays from June 4th to August 6th to paint your own ceiling tile with your favorite book cover! We will have paints and materials set up for you to use. Leave your tile here or bring it home to work on. The tiles will be hung in the library, so come out and show how much you love your Land O' Lakes branch. We will have a Showcase of all the tiles at our Final Summer Party August 11th from 10a-4p. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. All tiles will be hung in the library for years to come. All ages welcome.

Observational Drawing Class. Monday, July 2, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Are you an artist or art lover looking to improve your drawing skills? Join us at the library as we learn about historical and contemporary drawing practices and enhance our skills through various observational methods. All experience levels welcome. All supplies (easels, charcoal, 18x24" newsprint paper, and drawing subjects) will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own paper and drawing tools if you wish. Ages 14+. Registration and completion of all forms and liability waivers is required.

Tai Chi. Monday, July 2, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Join us for our all new Tai Chi classes! Bonnie’s Tai Chi Class brings all your physiological systems from digestion, cardiovascular, respiration, immunity and mental activity up to a higher level in a gentle and low impact manner. No movement is too difficult or strenuous as Bonnie modifies each movement to fit every student’s needs. Many of her students can work at different levels within the same class whether you are doing chair work due to an injury or studying in preparation to teach. Greater flexibility, core stability, improved balance, less fatigue, and reduced stress aid in the ability for her students to prevent and deal with issues such as Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, Arthritis, Joint Replacement, Lowering Blood Pressure, Depression, Anxiety and Breathing. Ages: Adult.  A signed liability waiver is required.

Chair Yoga. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Join our volunteer teacher for an all new Chair Yoga program! A signed liability waiver is required. The fitness goals for this program are to improve balance and increase endurance, flexibility, and range of motion. The class is taught in seated and standing positions using a chair as a prop.  Research shows that people with Parkinson's Disease can benefit from activities such as Chair Yoga. Please bring water and wear comfortable clothing. If you wish to relax on the floor for the final pose, feel free to bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket.

Make Like the Masters: Pre-Teen Art Workshop. Thursday, July 5, 2018, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Join us in the Makerspace the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month this summer for a hands-on art workshop. In each workshop, we will learn about a different art practice throughout history, and then make a creation of our own!
