Toddler Storytime. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 11:15 a.m. – 11:35 a.m. Is your little one full of wiggles, jiggles, and giggles?  This story time is for children ages 16-18 mos to around 2 1/2 years and will feature short stories, moving and grooving, singing, and activities to enhance the topics.  With plenty of fun and excitement, we will not only touch on pre-reading skills, but spatial awareness, attention, motor development, and social skills as well.

SCORE: Internet Marketing.  Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Attendees will obtain an understanding of the Internet Marketing technologies and how they may help to enhance the ability of a small business to reach customers and communicate their brand, products, and services. This workshop is part of a curriculum addressing doing business on the internet.  We also offer a workshop on Using the Internet in Your Business.  This Internet Marketing workshop takes the next step with a look at E-Marketing and the efforts/knowledge needed to effectively implement a marketing campaign using the internet. The workshop is divided into five focus areas: Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Web Analytics, Social Media, E-Mail Marketing. This workshop also provides a foundation of E-Marketing knowledge to establish a baseline for further one-on-one SCORE counseling and a prerequisite to more advanced E-Marketing and or E-Business workshops to follow.

Observational Drawing Class. Monday, May 21, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Are you an artist or art lover looking to improve your drawing skills? Join us at the library as we learn about historical and contemporary drawing practices, and enhance our skills through various observational methods. All experience levels welcome. All supplies (easels, charcoal, 18x24" newsprint paper, and drawing subjects) will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own paper and drawing tools if you wish. Tai Chi. Monday, May 21, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Join us for our all new Tai Chi classes! Bonnie’s Tai Chi Class brings all your physiological systems from digestion, cardiovascular, respiration, immunity and mental activity up to a higher level in a gentle and low impact manner. No movement is too difficult or strenuous as Bonnie modifies each movement to fit every student’s needs. Many of her students can work at different levels within the same class whether you are doing chair work due to an injury or studying in preparation to teach. Greater flexibility, core stability, improved balance, less fatigue, and reduced stress aid in the ability for her students to prevent and deal with issues such as Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, Arthritis, Joint Replacement, Lowering Blood Pressure, Depression, Anxiety and Breathing. Ages: Adult. A signed liability waiver is required.

Guided Open Build – Scroll Saws. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Join us on Tuesday mornings in May for a special session of our Foundry Open Build. This month we will have a volunteer teacher who will be showing you the basics of the scroll saw to make wooden toys. A waiver and safety form will be required. If you do not have one on file, you can fill one out before the class. Please watch the scroll saw safety video (on the Land O’ Lakes Events Calendar website) before you attend the class.

READ with Charlie the Dog. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 4:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m., 4:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Join our newest reading dog, Charlie! Reading dogs help children develop the skills they need to read in a relaxed environment. You can bring your own book or read one of ours. The Land O’ Lakes Scribblers. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 5:15 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Join us for our all new, monthly writing program! Use this time to practice your writing skills with our creative writing prompts. Local authors can also gather to share their writing and receive encouragement. Ages: 16+.

Beginner Mahjong. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Join us to learn how to play Mahjongg. This class is designed for beginners. Registration is required.

Chair Yoga. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Join our volunteer teacher for an all new Chair Yoga program! A signed liability waiver is required. The fitness goals for this program are to improve balance and increase endurance, flexibility, and range of motion. The class is taught in seated and standing positions using a chair as a prop.  Research shows that people with Parkinson's Disease can benefit from activities such as Chair Yoga. Please bring water and wear comfortable clothing. If you wish to relax on the floor for the final pose, feel free to bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket.

Intermediate Mahjong. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 12:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m. Join us for Intermediate Level Mahjong. This session is designed for those who already know how to play or who have attended our beginner classes. Registration is required.
