Baby Storytime. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. This story time will be for children ages birth to 16-18 mos.  Activities will foster development in pre-reading, motor, and social skills through the use of music, movement, finger-plays, and props. We will finish our program each week with a free-play setting that provides plenty of opportunity for socialization for caregivers and babies alike.

Yoga for Stress Relief. Monday, April 23, 2018, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The purpose of yoga is to increase overall well-being by reducing stress and tension and by increasing flexibility, strength and enhancing breathing ability. This free class offers fundamental techniques tailored to the level of ability and fitness of the participants with an emphasis on relaxation and mindfulness throughout the practice. Ongoing classes will enable participants to develop their practice at an appropriate gradual pace. Attire: Comfortable exercise clothing. Accessories: Large beach towel or yoga mat. Chair Yoga. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Join our volunteer teacher for an all new Chair Yoga program! A signed liability waiver is required. The fitness goals for this program are to improve balance and increase endurance, flexibility, and range of motion. The class is taught in seated and standing positions using a chair as a prop.  Research shows that people with Parkinson's Disease can benefit from activities such as Chair Yoga. Please bring water and wear comfortable clothing. If you wish to relax on the floor for the final pose, feel free to bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket.

Intermediate Mahjong. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 1:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m. Join us for Intermediate Level Mahjong. This session is designed for those who already know how to play or who have attended our beginner classes. Registration is required.

English for Speakers of Other Languages Coffee and a Chat. Wednesday, April 25, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Join our certified ESOL teacher as she teaches a class on English as a second language. Ages: 16+

Kumihimo. Wednesday, April 26, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Meet with our Adult Services Librarian Alicia and our volunteer teacher to learn the Japanese art of Kumihimo. Registration and a signed liability waiver is required.

Baby Storytime/Baby Signing. Thursday, April 26, 2018, 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 11:55 a.m. A lap-sit program to instill the love of reading in children ages birth-1yr. On the fourth Thursday of the month we will focus on learning Sign Language with our stories.

Foundry Closed for Cleaning. Friday, April 27, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Foundry will now be closed on Fridays in order to clean and organize the equipment and supplies. Thank you for your understanding. Volunteers are welcome to join in the cleaning process.
