Tuesday Night Stitchers. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 4:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. This group instructs and shares ideas with knitters of all skill levels, beginning to advanced. New faces are always welcome. The group gathers at the tables near the New Books section.

Music with Mar w/Ms. Colleen. Saturday, December 2, 2017, 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Music with Mar. is an internationally known, research-based educational music class designed for children and their caregivers. Children will be exposed to puppets, books, and music and will have the opportunity to sing, dance, and play instruments. Classes are designed to enhance & promote basic social, motor, language and cognitive skills for children ages 0-6.

A young boy embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole on the Polar Express. Harry Potter & Pom Pom Hats. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Come watch Harry Potter and knit a hat or scarf using a loom. Loom knitting is great for the beginner that has never touched yarn before. Make one to represent your Hogwarts House or the one you wish you were in! We'll have all the house colors in yarn. Kumihimo Candy Canes. Thursday, November 30, 2017, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Meet with our Adult Services Librarian Alicia and our volunteer teacher to learn the Japanese art of Kumihimo to make candy canes for the holidays. Registration required. Please call 813-929-1214 to register. Ages: 16+.

Sewing Basics 101. Saturday, December 2, 2017, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Ages: 9+. In this class patrons will become familiar with the sewing machine and practice by stitching a small craft item! Come learn about all the different parts of the machine and how they are used, including: the feed dogs, presser feet, and bobbin. We will get a lot of practice on the machine, doing things like: threading the machines needle and bobbin, and other basics, as well as sewing lines and curves, and different spacing. Play, Make, Discover! Silly Dance Party. Saturday, December 2, 2017, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Join us for our "Little Makers" program series. On select Saturdays we will have a different program for toddlers and preschoolers to play, make, and discover! The first and third Saturday of each month is our Silly Dance Party!
