Knitters for Charity. Friday, January 20, 2017, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Join this fun group to knit and crochet for charity. They have donated over 14,000 items--hats, scarves, items for children, afghans, and more--to cancer patients, the needy, the homeless, and others. New faces are always welcome, and if you want to learn how to knit or crochet, they will teach you!

Billy Kemp Concert. Saturday, January 21, 2017, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Billy Kemp, one half of the singing duo Jeni and Billy, will be here to do some original Jeni and Billy music along with other original folk and blues tunes. Cost is free! Paid for by the Friends of the Hudson Library. Donations accepted!

Sewing Basics 101. Saturday, January 21, 2017, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. **Registration starts 1/7/16.** Ages: 9+. In this class patrons will become familiar with the sewing machine and practice by stitching a small craft item! Come learn about all the different parts of the machine and how they are used, including: the feed dogs, presser feet, and bobbin. We will get a lot of practice on the machine, doing things like: threading the machines needle and bobbin, and other basics, as well as sewing lines and curves, and different spacing.
