Teen Open Studio. Sunday, March 26, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 4:00 p.m. Calling all teens! The library invites you to this self-guided art program. While here, you can use the provided art supplies to express yourself in any number of ways. We look forward to seeing what you create! Walk-ins are welcome at any time during this open studio. Once Upon A STEM: Humpty Dumpty. Monday, March 27, 2023, 4:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.  Can you protect Humpty Dumpty from cracking?  Join us for this STEM project where we build contraptions that will save your (environmentally safe - no real eggs here) egg from their falls. Baby Storytime. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, 10:15 a.m. — 10:45 a.m. This lap-sit program is meant to instill the love of reading in children at an early age. It is suitable for babies up to 1-year-old and their caregiver(s). Registration is no longer required for this program. 

Toddler Storytime (Session 1). Tuesday, March 28, 2023, 11:00 a.m. — 11:30 a.m. This program is for children ages 1 to 3 and includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play.  The room will be limited to 20 children per session. Please stop at the Service Desk upon arrival to get a ticket to for the session of your choosing. Tickets are available day of and are first come, first serve.

Toddler Storytime (Session 2). Tuesday, March 28, 2023, 11:45 a.m. — 12:15 p.m. This program is identical to the storytime at 11:00 am and is for children ages 1 to 3. It includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play.  The room will be limited to 20 children per session. Please stop at the Service Desk upon arrival to get a ticket to for the session of your choosing. Tickets are available day of and are first come, first serve.

After School Gaming. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, 3:30 p.m. — 4:15 p.m. Game with us after school! Video and tabletop games will be available.

Adult Tabletop Game Night. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, 6:30 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. Grab a few friends and join us for game night! Ages 18+. Games include: big jenga, life-sized connect four, dominoes, playing cards, assorted board games, & more!

Preschool Storytime. Thursday, March 30, 2023, 10:15 a.m. — 10:45 a.m. This storytime is recommended for children (ages 3-5) along with their caregiver. Tween Hangout: Watercolor Painting. Thursday, March 30, 2023, 3:30 p.m. — 4:15 p.m. Join us after school in the courtyard for watercolor free painting.

Throwback Movie: Chicken RunThursday, March 30, 2023, 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. Join us for a special big screen showing of the classic movie "Chicken Run," and prepare for Chicken Run 2 coming out later this year!

Kids Lego Open Build. Saturday, April 1, 2023, 10:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. Drop in for some Lego building fun! Bring a friend or family member. Try some of our challenges or just use our Lego blocks to build your own creations.

Sewing for Beginners. Saturday, April 1, 2023, 10:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. Join us as we make felt bookmarks! All materials will be provided. Paws to Read at the Ranch. Saturday, April 1, 2023, 1:00 p.m. — 2:30 p.m. Practice your reading skills by reading aloud to one of our furry friends from Sharing Our World Therapy Dogs. Scratch Coding for Beginners. Saturday, April 1, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m. Are you interested in learning how to code? Join us as we use the Scratch program for beginner coding classes. Learn to Paint and Draw (Better). Tuesday, March 28, 2023, 5:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m. Join Earthchild Sarah every week as she teaches the basics of painting and drawing. Complete beginners to intermediate artists can come get expert guidance from someone who has been in the arts for nearly four decades. Learn how to improve your technique in watercolor, acrylics, pastels, graphite, charcoal, mixed media and more. We will also cover the fundamentals of drawing such as composition, color, proportions, shading, texture etc. Work on the suggested projects and exercises or bring in your art for advice and guidance on how to improve. Questions are welcome, community is encouraged. Materials are provided. This is an ongoing series. Free Studio Space in the Loft. Friday, March 31, 2023, 10:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. Looking for a space to work on your creative projects? Our Loft Makerspace is dedicated to providing access to practice and education of studio arts, crafts, textiles, and photo digitization. We offer classes for all ages and encourage the belief that anyone can make art you just have to start! Every Friday we have tables available for artist reservation. Spread out your materials and soak up the atmosphere of our Loft makerspace. Reservations are for six hours (you can come anytime in that window), and our space will host up to four artists at one time. Sign up online or call during library open hours. Yoga for Stress Relief. Thursday, March 30, 2023, 4:30 p.m. — 5:30 p.m. This class is designed for patrons that were unable to attend the first class of the month. Due to the popularity of this class, we have created a class to allow new participants a chance to enjoy the class. Attire: Comfortable exercise clothing. Accessories: Large beach towel or yoga mat. Join us for this yoga class with Ruben Vasquez. The purpose of yoga is to increase overall well-being by reducing stress and tension and by increasing flexibility, strength and enhancing breathing ability. This free class offers fundamental techniques tailored to the level of ability and fitness of the participants with an emphasis on relaxation and mindfulness throughout the practice.
