Horror Book Club. Thursday, March 16, 2023, 6:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
Join us for the next meeting of the Horror Book Club! The group will meet virtually on the third Thursday of every month. This book club will read and discuss horror books both contemporary and classic and primarily use Hoopla Digital for digital copies of the books. Due to the nature of the content, this book club will be for adults only.

In It to Win It: Adult Jigsaw Puzzle Competition. Sunday, March 12, 2023, 2:30 p.m. — 4:00 p.m.
Gather your teams and get ready to go head-to-head in this community puzzle competition!  Four teams will face off in this competition to see who can complete a 500-piece puzzle in the shortest amount of time. Teams must be between 2 and 4 individuals to compete and registered as a group. The winning team will receive prizes! This is an adult program.

Spring Break - Disco Bubble Party! Monday, March 13, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Join us for a Disco Bubble Party!  This program is for children Elementary age and up. We will feature dancing, music, and of course bubbles.  Don't forget to dress in your Disco best!
Registration is not required, but attendance will be limited to the occupancy requirements.

Baby Storytime. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 10:15 a.m. — 10:45 a.m.
This lap-sit program is meant to instill the love of reading in children at an early age. It is suitable for babies up to 1-year-old and their caregiver(s). Registration is no longer required for this program. 

Toddler Storytime (Session 1). Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 11:00 a.m. — 11:30 a.m.
This program is for children ages 1 to 3 and includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play. 
The room will be limited to 20 children per session. Please stop at the Service Desk upon arrival to get a ticket to for the session of your choosing. Tickets are available day of and are first come, first serve.

Toddler Storytime (Session 2). Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 11:45 a.m. — 12:15 p.m.
This program is identical to the storytime at 11:00 am and is for children ages 1 to 3. It includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play. 
The room will be limited to 20 children per session. Please stop at the Service Desk upon arrival to get a ticket to for the session of your choosing. Tickets are available day of and are first come, first serve.

Spring Break - Lego Party! Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 4:00 p.m.
Join us in the theatre for a special showing of the LEGO Movie while you show off your creative side with our free build challenge!   This program is for children Elementary ages and up. Registration is not required.

Master Gardener Seminar: Horticulture in Arts and Crafts. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 11:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.
The history of cultivating plants and flowers and preserving what we grow. Ideas are given on how to use preserved items. An artsy-craftsy presentation with Horticulture as the main ingredient.

Spring Break - Games on the Courtyard. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Join us in the courtyard for gaming!
Registration is not required, but attendance will be limited to the occupancy requirements.  The game event will take place in the courtyard.  We will use the Heron room in the event of inclement weather.

Preschool Storytime. Thursday, March 16, 2023, 10:15 a.m.—10:45 a.m.
This storytime is recommended for children (ages 3-5) along with their caregiver. Registration begins two weeks prior to the program.
Important Note: Registration is required for each child in attendance.
Masks are recommended but not required.

West Pasco Audubon Society: Florida's Iconic White Birds and Waders. Thursday, March 16, 2023, 1:00 p.m.—2:00 p.m.
Central Florida is home to thousands of White and Wading birds! If you want to learn more about them than just "Those white birds", come join us at the library on March 16th at 1PM where J. Mike Kell of West Pasco Audubon society will present a talk about the "White birds and Waders" of Pasco County.

Spring Break - Video Game Tournament. Thursday, March 16, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 4:00 p.m.
Get your Nintendo Switch joycons in gear and join us for a big-screen Super Smash Bros. tournament! Whether you main Kirby or Bowser. all's fair in the stadium, and there can only be one champion!
Registration is necessary to play in the tournament, but you can also stand by and cheer on your favorite. We will also have video-game themed arts and crafts in the teen room.
Registration is not necessary for attendance. If registration for the tournament is closed, you are still welcome to join us whether or not you are signed up to play!

Adult Open Studio Painting: Women's History Month. Thursday, March 16, 2023, 5:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
Join us for Adult Open Studio! For Women's History Month, this self-guided open studio program will explore a historic woman artist and their art style. We will learn about the artists' work and then recreate a painting in the artist’s style.
Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like. Walk-ins welcome any time during Open Studio. A staff member or volunteer will be present to guide any beginners. Open to all skill levels.

Spring Break: The Leprechaun Trap. Friday, March 17, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Help! The leprechauns have escaped into the library.  Help us build traps so we can send them back to Ireland.  We will build our traps using a variety of different materials including making the best trap of all... glittery green slime!  This program is for children in grades K-5 and registration is required.

Learn to Paint and Draw (Better). Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 5:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
Join Earthchild Sarah every week as she teaches the basics of painting and drawing. Complete beginners to intermediate artists can come get expert guidance from someone who has been in the arts for nearly four decades. Learn how to improve your technique in watercolor, acrylics, pastels, graphite, charcoal, mixed media and more. We will also cover the fundamentals of drawing such as composition, color, proportions, shading, texture etc. Work on the suggested projects and exercises or bring in your art for advice and guidance on how to improve. Questions are welcome, community is encouraged. Materials are provided. This is an ongoing series. Registering for the first event will register you for one month only, registration needs to be renewed every month.

Free Studio Space in the Loft. Friday, March 17, 2023, 10:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Looking for a space to work on your creative projects? Our Loft Makerspace is dedicated to providing access to practice and education of studio arts, crafts, textiles, and photo digitization. We offer classes for all ages and encourage the belief that anyone can make art you just have to start! Every Friday we have tables available for artist reservation. Spread out your materials and soak up the atmosphere of our Loft makerspace. Reservations are for six hours (you can come anytime in that window), and our space will host up to four artists at one time. Sign up online or call during library open hours. Ages 16+

Memoir: Getting Started. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 6:00 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
In celebration of National Write Down Your Story Day, please join us in a workshop in which we will explore how to identify significant moments from our lives and some of the best strategies through which we may record them. Topics will include in-scene imagery, figurative treatments, timeline building, ethical challenges, and practical writing habits. We will also consider how to expand our personal stories into works that will resonate with others, how to keep from getting overwhelmed, and how to find our personal memoir voice.
*This workshop is best suited for adults; however, high school students (9th grade and up) are welcome to join us*

This course is open to drivers 50 and older.  Space is limited.  Registration is required.
