Teen Studio. Sunday, February 26, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 4:00 p.m.
Calling all teens! The library invites you to this self-guided art-based program. While here, you can use the provided art supplies to express yourself in any number of ways. We look forward to seeing what you create. Walk-ins are welcome at any time during this open studio.
Important note: This program is for teens, grades 8-12. Masks are recommended but not required.

Once Upon A STEM: Rapunzel. Monday, February 27, 2023, 4:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Could the prince really climb Rapunzel's hair? Join us as we discover the unbelievable strength of hair and the physics behind the importance of braids.  This program is for children in Grades K-3 and registration is required.

Baby Storytime. Tuesday, February 28, 2023, 10:15 a.m. — 10:45 a.m.
This lap-sit program is meant to instill the love of reading in children at an early age. It is suitable for babies up to 1-year-old and their caregiver(s).

Toddler Storytime (Session 1). Tuesday, February 28, 2023, 11:00 a.m. — 11:30 a.m.
This program is for children ages 1 to 3 and includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play. 
The room will be limited to 20 children per session. Please stop at the Service Desk upon arrival to get a ticket to for the session of your choosing. Tickets are available day of and are first come, first serve.

Toddler Storytime (Session 2). Tuesday, February 28, 2023, 11:45 a.m. — 12:15 p.m.
This program is identical to the storytime at 11:00 am and is for children ages 1 to 3. It includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play.

Healthcare in 2023: The Direct Care Movement and How it Can Help You. Thursday, March 2, 2023, 7:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m.
Are you happy with your current healthcare experience? Are you curious about what Direct Care medicine has to offer? Join guest speaker Dr. Emily Zulauf to discuss the evolution of our healthcare ecosystem, the challenges of rising healthcare costs, and how patient care is being affected. Direct care medicine will be introduced, and its pros and cons will be discussed.

Kids Lego Open Build. Saturday, March 4, 2023, 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.
Drop in for some Lego building fun! Bring a friend or family member. Try some of our challenges or just use our Lego blocks to build your own creations.

Sewing for Beginners. Saturday, March 4, 2023, 10:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m.
Join us as we make upcycled tote bags! All materials will be provided. Beginning sewers will practice using pins, sewing on a machine, ironing, and more. This class is for ages 9 years and older, including adults.

Scratch Coding for Beginners. Saturday, March 4, 2023, 2:00 p.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Are you interested in learning how to code? Join us as we use the Scratch program for beginner coding classes. No previous coding experience is required. This program is for children ages 7-13.
The classes will be taught by a Sensei from the Coding Ninjas of Trinity.

Gentle chair-based stretches done with meditative awareness (mindfulness). The physical practices are accessible for most body types, mindful practices help reduce stress and improve well-being. Join us with a “beginners mind,” an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions.

Sew Cool: Beginner Embroidery for Teens. Tuesday, February 28, 2023, 4:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Embroidery is SEW COOL! In this beginner session, Teens will get an introduction to embroidery that includes a brief history and lessons on how to complete three basic stitches (Back, Chain, and Split). While you practice, we'll also feature the work of some diverse embroidery and textile artists and give you some ideas on what to embroider next! Registration is required. This program is for teens in grades 8-12.

Learn to Paint and Draw (Better). Tuesday, February 28, 2023, 5:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
Join Earthchild Sarah every week as she teaches the basics of painting and drawing. Complete beginners to intermediate artists can come get expert guidance from someone who has been in the arts for nearly four decades. Learn how to improve your technique in watercolor, acrylics, pastels, graphite, charcoal, mixed media and more. We will also cover the fundamentals of drawing such as composition, color, proportions, shading, texture etc. Work on the suggested projects and exercises or bring in your art for advice and guidance on how to improve. Questions are welcome, community is encouraged. Materials are provided. This is an ongoing series. Registering for the first event will register you for one month only, registration needs to be renewed every month.

Free Studio Space in the Loft. Friday, March 3, 2023, 10:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Looking for a space to work on your creative projects? Our Loft Makerspace is dedicated to providing access to practice and education of studio arts, crafts, textiles, and photo digitization. We offer classes for all ages and encourage the belief that anyone can make art you just have to start! Every Friday we have tables available for artist reservation. Spread out your materials and soak up the atmosphere of our Loft makerspace. Reservations are for six hours (you can come anytime in that window), and our space will host up to four artists at one time. Sign up online or call during library open hours. Ages 16+

Join our volunteers for chess. This club is open to all ages and abilities. Are you interested in learning to play? Our volunteers can teach you. Already know how but need someone to play against? Join us on Tuesday evenings in the Adult Multipurpose Room C from 6:00-7:30 PM. Chess sets are provided, or you are welcome to bring your own.

Join our volunteer, Margarita. Participants will need to have some previous crochet experience. This is a time to bring your own project and meet with others who enjoy crocheting.

Yoga for Stress Relief. Thursday, March 2, 2023, 4:30 p.m. — 5:30 p.m.
Join us for this yoga class with Ruben Vasquez. The purpose of yoga is to increase overall well-being by reducing stress and tension and by increasing flexibility, strength and enhancing breathing ability. This free class offers fundamental techniques tailored to the level of ability and fitness of the participants with an emphasis on relaxation and mindfulness throughout the practice. Ongoing classes will enable participants to develop their practice at an appropriate gradual pace.
Attire: Comfortable exercise clothing. Accessories: Large beach towel or yoga mat.

This class is for ages 9 years and older who have minimal sewing experience. This class will introduce hand sewing. All materials will be provided. We will make a small travel sewing kit.

AARP Smart Driver Safety Course. Friday, March 3, 2023, 10:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.
This course is open to drivers 50 and older.  Space is limited.  Registration is required.
