Baby Storytime. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 10:15 a.m. — 10:45 a.m.
This lap-sit program is meant to instill the love of reading in children at an early age. It is suitable for babies up to 1-year-old and their caregiver(s).

Toddler Storytime (Session 1). Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 11:00 a.m. — 11:30 a.m.
This program is for children ages 1 to 3 and includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play. 
The room will be limited to 20 children per session. Please stop at the Service Desk upon arrival to get a ticket to for the session of your choosing. Tickets are available day of and are first come, first serve.

Toddler Storytime (Session 2). Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 11:45 a.m. — 12:15 p.m.
This program is identical to the storytime at 11:00 am and is for children ages 1 to 3. It includes stories, songs, and activities based on the foundations of early literacy - read, write, sing, talk, play. 
The room will be limited to 20 children per session. Please stop at the Service Desk upon arrival to get a ticket to for the session of your choosing. Tickets are available day of and are first come, first serve.

DIY Vision Boards for Teens. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, 6:00 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
Sometimes seeing is believing. Here at the library, we want to encourage you to think about some of your goals and dreams for this year and beyond. With the help of a handcrafted vision board who knows what you can do. 
Note: Materials will be provided. This program is for teens in grades 8-12. Masks are recommended by not required.

Adult Open Studio: Painting. Thursday, February 23, 2023, 5:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
Join us for Adult Open Studio! This program is a self-guided exploration of painting through a variety of materials. We will provide some materials, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like. We will learn, practice, and share basic painting techniques and freely explore the medium of painting in a comfortable group environment. Walk-ins welcome any time during Open Studio. A staff member or volunteer will be present to guide any beginners. Open to all skill levels.

Join us the last Saturday of every month for Painting Open Studio! You may register for 1 of 2 sessions: 10am-11am or 11am-12pm. Wet paintings can be picked up after the program. We will supply all materials - all you have to do is bring your creativity -- and be sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting a little messy! Open to all ages.

Movement and Meditation. Saturday, February 25, 2023, 9:45 a.m.—12:00 p.m.
The Exploring Movement and Meditation class will blend yoga, Pilates, calisthenics, and mediation. Please bring two light weights (2-5 pounds) and a yoga mat.  If you don't have these items, you can bring a towel/blanket and two water bottles.  The class will meet outside the library at 9:45am for a warm-up walk. If you do not wish to walk, you can join the class inside the library at 10:30am.

Learn to Paint and Draw (Better). Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 5:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
Join Earthchild Sarah every week as she teaches the basics of painting and drawing. Complete beginners to intermediate artists can come get expert guidance from someone who has been in the arts for nearly four decades. Learn how to improve your technique in watercolor, acrylics, pastels, graphite, charcoal, mixed media and more. We will also cover the fundamentals of drawing such as composition, color, proportions, shading, texture etc. Work on the suggested projects and exercises or bring in your art for advice and guidance on how to improve. Questions are welcome, community is encouraged. Materials are provided. This is an ongoing series. Registering for the first event will register you for one month only, registration needs to be renewed every month.

Free Studio Space in the Loft. Friday, February 24, 2023, 10:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Looking for a space to work on your creative projects? Our Loft Makerspace is dedicated to providing access to practice and education of studio arts, crafts, textiles, and photo digitization. We offer classes for all ages and encourage the belief that anyone can make art you just have to start! Every Friday we have tables available for artist reservation. Spread out your materials and soak up the atmosphere of our Loft makerspace. Reservations are for six hours (you can come anytime in that window), and our space will host up to four artists at one time. Sign up online or call during library open hours. Ages 16+

This class is for homeschooled youth between the ages of 9-18 years who have minimal sewing experience. This class will introduce hand sewing. All materials will be provided.

Join our volunteers for chess. This club is open to all ages and abilities. Are you interested in learning to play? Our volunteers can teach you. Already know how but need someone to play against? Right to Repair Open Build. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
Do you have an item of clothing or some other fabric item that needs to be repaired? Are you uncertain if it can be repaired? Do you need to learn a few skills in order to fix a seam, replace a button, or hem pants? Bring your item along and we will discuss how to determine if an item can be fixed instead of tossed. We will work through easy repairs and set up follow up for items that require more time.
Registration, safety, and waiver forms are required for all participants. This class is intended for teens and adults or preteens with a guardian.
In the past we have repaired a wide range of things at our Open Build sessions including: skirts, dresses, pants, towels, hockey bags, grocery bags, shirts, curtains, etc. We look forward to helping you put your items to use again.
