Guardian Ad Litem Information Session. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Community Outreach Coordinator of Guardian Ad Litem will be here providing information on how to become a volunteer with this wonderful program. If you want to make a difference and help kids, this is the organization for you. They will be in the lobby.

Tuesday Night Stitchers. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 4:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. This group instructs and shares ideas with knitters of all skill levels, beginning to advanced. New faces are always welcome. The group gathers at the tables near the New Books section.

Senior Social. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Get together with other seniors and all adults for coffee, snacks and some good conversation. Board games are available. This event runs weekly through August.

Silly Storytime for Toddlers. Thursday, September 1, 2016, 11:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Join us every Thursday for silly stories, dancing, and more!

Knitters for Charity. Friday, September 2, 2016, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Join this fun group to knit and crochet for charity. They have donated over 15,000 items--hats, scarves, items for children, afghans, and more--to cancer patients, the needy, the homeless, and others. New faces are always welcome, and if you want to learn how to knit or crochet, they will teach you.

Silly Saturday Dance Party. Saturday, September 3, 2016, 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  Come dance and play the morning away!

Get involved at the library by offering programming suggestions. Or, take this time to meet new friends, discuss common interests, and engage in recreational activities. Occasional workshops on topics of interest may be scheduled. Ages: 55+. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Land O’ Lakes Library.

Baby Storytime. Thursday, September 1, 2016, 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  Mothers and babies (birth to one year of age) come to begin the love of reading with lap-sit songs and activities.
